Thought I'd give you a little summary of what I've been up to lately! December has been quite the busy month. I spent two weeks in Toronto to meet with a couple of important people and to compete in a competition. The meetings went really well! I love meeting honest people with great advice about the industry…sugar coating things never help anyone, in my opinion.
When I came back from Toronto, I was fortunate enough to have been asked to sing the anthems at an Ottawa Senators game. It was extra cool because the boys were playing hometown boy, Claude Giroux, captain of the Philly Flyers. Lots of friends were in the crowd to watch him, some knew that I was singing and for others it was a surprise. It was great being bombarded by texts as soon as I finished though. I absolutely love singing there. Nothing beats 16 thousand or more people singing along with you.
The next morning I went to the Country 101.1 station along with Dennis and Donna Gudbranson to talk about my song Give Him Love and to raise awareness of the launch of a wonderful campaign to form a national cord blood bank to help families going through the hardest time of their lives. I'm SO grateful to attend all of their events and share my song with them. They've been so welcoming and supportive.
Later that week I also got to sing at Parliament Hill and as well for the mayor at City Hall! It's always exciting to play at new venues, especially venues as important as those ones!
Hope you all have a fantastic holiday season! I'll be back with more news soon!
